Vintage Gimson & Slater 'RocknRest' reclining chair & footstool designed circa 1956 (GB).

Great piece of British mid-century modern design. Created with the help of a Norwegian manufacturer, this iconic chair and footstool has wonderful lines.
The frame is made from oak with the arm elements faced in danish teak, the chair can be made to recline into various positions and be held there by a lever ditto the footstool.
This particular example has recently been reupholstered in a taupe coloured 100% wool fabric, and the frame has been sympathetically restored and re finished.
